Citizens' workshop : Saint-Laurent Urban Promenades

In 2017, the City of Montreal will celebrate its 375th anniversary. In preparation for this date, the Urban Promenades Project puts forward the design and construction of green infrastructure projects that combine biodiversity and urbanity.

In view of preparing a proposal, the Saint-Laurent borough hired Catalyse Urbaine to organize a citizens’ workshop in 2013. Catalyse Urbaine assisted the citizens in imagining operations that will energize public space and create new places of socialization.

The results of the workshop were analyzed and recommendations made to the borough as to how to proceed for planning future green infrastructure.
