The new public square in Pierrefonds-Roxboro is designed as an ode to rain, where sustainable water management becomes infrastructure, landscape, and poetry all at once. Through storm gardens and open-air gutters, water is captured, filtered, and showcased, while promoting biodiversity and the well-being of residents. The green spaces, diverse and accessible, accommodate a variety of uses—contemplation, play, social interaction—and offer a dynamic landscape that evolves with the seasons. By transforming rain into a fertile resource, the project celebrates life in all its forms: human, plant, and animal.
