Redevelopment of Dan Hanganu Park

In 2021, the City of Montreal launched a multidisciplinary landscape architecture competition for the redevelopment of Dan-Hanganu Park, in the L’Île-des-Sœurs district, in the district of Verdun.

The redevelopment of Elgar Park aimed to pay tribute to the Montreal architect Dan S. Hanganu, to enhance the landscape quality of the park, as well as to improve the citizen experience in this important civic space of L’Île-des-Sœurs.

Finalist of the competition, Catalyse Urbaine proposal included the following relevant elements:

A creative and multigenerational play area
Work out and relax in the soothing calm of nature
