Michel Langlois, founding architect of Catalyse Urbaine, invited at the United Nations

Michel Langlois attended the working session, ‘Promoting mountain economies: high value, high quality products for better lives’ at the 17th Session of the United Nation Commission on Sustainable Development, on May 6 2009.

Attending the conference is part of Michel's promise that by the year 2030, mountains welcome human activity and mountain communities are flourishing.

The event was organized by the Mountain Partnership Secretariat and featured representatives of local communities, NGOs and the private and public sectors working together to develop high value mountain products to improve local livelihoods.
